Um die für dich richtige Größe zu finden, solltest du deinen Brustumfang messen. Das Syrio Top fällt nach dem Waschen und Spannen ohne weitere Mehrweite (positive ease) aus. Es sitzt enganliegend.

Beispiel: Wenn dein Brustumfang 95 cm misst, solltest du Größe M wählen. Das Syrio Top in Gr. M hat einen Brustumfang nach dem Waschen und Spannen von ca. 99 cm. Wenn du ihn etwas legerer arbeiten möchtest, stricke eine Größe größer. Ich bin 1,67m groß, habe einen BU von 90 und habe Gr. S gestrickt.

The Syrio Top is worked seamlessly top down, combining clean lines with a flowing silhouette. First, the back piece is worked flat and put on hold at the armholes. Next, stitches are picked up at both shoulders for the front sections. These are also worked top down in stockinette stitch, one after the other, with the neckline taking shape gradually before the two front pieces are joined. At the end of this section, increases are worked at the sides to shape the armholes.

From the armholes downwards, the piece is joined to work in the round and the body is worked in stockinette stitch. The distinctive finishing touch is a wide ‘hem’ in the well-known Syrio pattern, which you may already be familiar with from the Syrio Shawl. The rhythmic lines and the delicate lace pattern are reminiscent of dancing movements and lend the design its unique character.

Size guide

To determine the right size for you, you should measure your chest circumference. After washing and blocking, the Syrio Top has no additional ease. It has a slim fit.

For example: If your chest circumference measures 95 cm, you should choose size M. A Syrio Top in size M has a chest circumference of approx. 99 cm (after washing and blocking). If you prefer a more relaxed fit, choose a larger size. I am 1,67 m tall, have a chest circumference of 90 cm and have worked sizes S.

Amount of yarn

Begonnen wird am Halsbündchen, aus dem sich die Raglanlinien harmonisch entwickeln und ein sauberer Übergang zur Passe entsteht. Es folgen einige wenige verkürzte Reihen, die den Halsausschnitt formen. Durch Zunahmen an den Raglanlinien entsteht für jede Größe die richtige Passform. Zum Abschluss der Passe werden die Maschen der Ärmel stillgelegt, während Vorderteile und Rückenteil in Reihen weitergeführt und im charakteristischen Streifenmuster bis zum Saum weitergearbeitet werden. Danach werden die Ärmel direkt aus den stillgelegten Maschen von oben nach unten mit einigen Abnahmen gestrickt und die Silhouette ergänzt. Das Streifenmuster kennen bereits einige vom „Talisa Poncho“.

Besondere Aufmerksamkeit gilt den beiden Blenden der Vorderteile: Sie werden bereits während des Strickens integriert und laufen mit dem ganzen Strickstück bequem mit. Dadurch entsteht eine klare, hochwertige Verarbeitung ohne nachträgliches Anstricken oder Aufnehmen der Maschen. Talisa Cardigan is a classic raglan cardigan that is worked seamlessly top down. Its timeless design combines clean lines with a well-thought-out construction, making it a versatile addition to any wardrobe.

Starting at the neckline, the raglan lines develop harmoniously, creating a neat transition to the yoke, followed by a few short rows that shape the neckline. Increases along the raglan seams ensure the right fit for every size. To finish the section, the sleeve stitches are placed on hold, whilst the front and back are continued in rows and worked in the characteristic striped pattern right down to the hem. Thereafter, the sleeves are worked top down with a few decreases from the held sleeve stitches, to complete the silhouette. The stripe pattern will already be familiar to some from the ‘Talisa Poncho’.

Particular attention should be paid to the two facings at the front edges: these are incorporated whilst the cardigan is being worked and follow the shape of the entire piece comfortably as it is knitted.
